Contact
— I’m currently living in Portland, Oregon. To say hello, email me at sjhollowood@gmail.com.

About Me
— I like cats, traveling to unfamiliar and familiar places, bodies of water, alone time, snack plates, goofy dance moves, general shenanigans, Law & Order marathons, sad movies, gift shopping, making lists, vintage office supplies, old-fashioned paper correspondence, and good design. I don’t take myself too seriously, but you can if you want.

I don’t believe that design needs to be complicated for it to be good. In fact, most often I think it should be simple and not overly fussy. But, it sure is nice if design can make you smile (or feel something), if it can be unexpected and surprising, if it can make something easier to communicate, or if it can help to make something more accessible.

Experience
— Over the years, I have been the first and only employee of a small design studio, and I have also worked at a large independent design consultancy. I’ve been a part of an in-house design department for a large media and merchandising company and, for a while, I spent a lot of weekdays (and weekends) at an independent advertising agency that has offices all over the world. Currently, I am at a small design studio where I am getting more experience with every aspect of building brands.
