Impossible Foods “Meateasy” Event
— I worked as part of a team to bring to life a pop-up experience in Chicago which introduced the city to the Impossible Burger. The event was modeled after Chicago’s speakeasy culture—what we called a “Meateasy.” Here, Chicagoans could enjoy burgers made from plants away from the watchful eye of the Chicago Sausage Guild, a fictitious organization with a goal of shutting down all of the city’s illegal Meateasies.

I helped to create the world of the CSG with a trade union-inspired logo and wild postings reminiscent of wood type posters from the Prohibition Era, both of which were sprinkled with a touch of poor kerning for good measure.

Impossible Foods “Meateasy” Collateral
— In opposition to the Chicago Sausage Guild was the secret society-inspired Impossible Burger group. The collateral for this part of the event was inspired by secret societies of the 1920s. I worked with the team to concept some of the pieces, which were showcased once guests were granted access to the Meateasy through a secret door in a faux butcher shop.
